What the sensors said.
Entries are written when something is measured, bought, or decided. A datasheet is a claim; a multimeter reading is evidence. The two never share a column.

Phase 0 baseline
The pre-build design is on record. No parts unboxed, no measurements taken. This entry fixes the baseline every later entry is compared against.
State
- Preprint v1.0 posted to SSRN on October 19, 2026 (abstract 7631278). It documents the pre-build phase only.
- Bill of materials prepared September 30, 2026. Two lines price-checked against live listings: the Pi 5 boards and the keg. Everything else is an estimate.
- Spent to date: $0.
- Measurements to date: 0.
Withheld values
Four parameters are lessons and will be recorded here only after the builder produces them:
Lesson Method Value Main fuse rating I_wire ≥ I_fuse ≥ 1.25 × I_cont,max pending Branch fuse ratings B1–B5 same rule per branch pending INA226 shunt value I_max = 81.92 mV / R_shunt pending Load-test stop rule set before the three-node test pending What triggers the next entry
The first part is unboxed. The first measurement is the open-circuit voltage of the 100 W panel, read on the multimeter, in the sun. Build begins after the move to Seguin, Texas.
